Promotion of Green Procurement

To provide environment friendly products to customers, we ask clients for their understanding and cooperation in environmental conservation activities and the procurement of environment friendly parts and materials.
We refer to suppliers who voluntarily achieve environmental certification as Green Suppliers. We seek to deepen our relationships to such suppliers to improve environmental performance. We’re committed to improving the quality of procurement items to conserve resources and reduce environmental burdens. Specifically, we’ve replaced cadmium contact switches with cadmium-free contact switches to reduce environmental burdens, even though cadmium contact switches are not regulated.
At budget briefings carried out every term, we present information and requests on green/CSR procurement to clients. Each term, we select six to ten domestic and overseas clients for self-assessments against the CSR checklist and solicit field surveys by third-party audit organizations based on the results of self-assessments.
