In the City of Hitachinaka, there are many areas where lanceleaf tickseeds, an invasive
species, grow.Invasive species are species which have been introduced to areas outside their
original habitats and threaten biodiversity as identified by the government. It is
prohibited to grow, store, import, transport or raise them.
